The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Atlantic Street Bridge Replacement Project Team will host a Public Information Session on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Stamford Government Center Building at 6:00pm.


Residents, commuters, business owners, the traveling public and the general public are invited to attend the public information session which begins with an Open Forum for individual discussions with CTDOT officials at 6pm. The formal presentation begins at 6:30pm. The session will take place in the 6th Floor Safety Training Conference Room located at Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd, Stamford, CT.



Phase 2 of the project includes replacing the Metro North/Atlantic Street Bridge, reconstruction of Atlantic Street to widen and lower the roadway and track and infrastructure improvements to the Stamford Train Station. Multimodal accommodations will provide for future bike lanes and beautification will be incorporated in the project. These collective improvements will improve surface traffic operational efficiencies improve access to the South End neighborhoods and improve local and express train service with the addition of a dedicated Track #7, extended platform and dedicated stairway. The work began in June 2018 and is expected to conclude in November of 2020.
