To those following the Metro North Railroad/Atlantic Street Bridge project, we have been notified that there will be activity in the area that is unrelated to our project. While this is NOT related to the Metro North Railroad/Atlantic Street Bridge project, we are sharing this information to help get the word out.

The Exit 9 Route 1/I-95 bridge replacement project is scheduled for two weekends (May 31-June 3 and June 7-10). I-95 motorists will shift onto temporary roadways at Exit 9 during this period and significant delays should be expected during this period. Please visit www.i95exit9.com for complete details on the Exit 9 highway bridge project.

The replacement of the Metro North Railroad/Atlantic Street Bridge is scheduled for the end of June, commencing June 28, 2019-July 8, 2019, the new Metro-North Railroad/Atlantic Street Bridge is scheduled to be rolled into place over a 9 day period. Only local roadways will incur detours and Metro North Railroad will issue a special schedule during the roll in. After the bridge is rolled in, Atlantic Street and South State Street will remain closed to allow for continued roadway work which includes widening and lowering Atlantic Street to allow for 3 north bound and 3 south bound lanes and a new vertical clearance of 14’6” to better accommodate emergency and commercial vehicles.

Please check this project website, Facebook and Twitter pages for more details about the Metro North Railroad/Atlantic Street Bridge replacement in the coming weeks.

Please forward to your employees, tenants, stakeholders and other interested parties in your network.
