Eversource Energy Company will be performing electric transmission work along the north side of the Metro-North Railroad over the next several weeks. Construction operations will take place on South State Street between Atlantic Street and the I-95 Exit 8 off ramp beginning Friday, February 28, 2020. The following road and/or lane closures will be in effect for this weekend:

• Friday, Feb. 28: 7am-11am: South State Street will be temporarily closed from Atlantic Street to Canal Street.
• Friday, Feb. 28: 8pm – Saturday, Feb. 29: 7am: South State Street will be temporarily closed from Atlantic Street to Canal Street.
• Saturday, Feb. 29: 8pm – Sunday, March 1: 7am: South State Street will be temporarily closed from Atlantic Street to Canal Street.

Motorists and pedestrians should be aware that other brief road closures in the area may be implemented as required and modifications to the proposed schedule, including postponements and/or extensions may be necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
