Eversource Energy Company Transmission Work Continues On South State Street

Eversource Energy Company will continue transmission work on existing structure #991, which is located along the north side of the Metro-North Railroad. Construction operations will take place at the intersection of South State Street and the I-95 Exit 8 off ramp beginning Friday, March 6, 2020. The following road and/or lane closures will be in effect during this operation:

• Friday, March 6: 8pm – Saturday, March 7: 7am: South State Street will be temporarily closed from Atlantic Street to Canal Street.
• Saturday, March 7: 8pm – Sunday, March 8: 7am: South State Street will be temporarily closed from Atlantic Street to Canal Street.

Motorists and pedestrians should be aware that other brief road closures in the area may be implemented as required and modifications to the proposed schedule, including postponements and/or extensions may be necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
